Poor Sales or Just Lazy?

Spent some time with a friend tonight. We walked around Chapters and went for some pizza and desert. Managed to cheer her up a bit and I had some fun doing something other than work and sleep. I didn't wind up buying anything at Chapters, but I did snap this shot of the front sign:
I wonder if things are getting bad for the company money wise to the point where they can only afford six out of eight lit up letters. Will that be the sign of tough financial times? Big companies shutting off their lights one by one? It'd be good environmentally, but when McDonald's becomes McDoad's, will the Big Mac special sauce still be as special?

Great observations as we all are being herded into lock step with the enviro-nazis. We must be careful of our carbon footprints. Pseudo-scientific books and whirlwind tours promoting doom have made some former politicians rich. They too need money to support their huge consumption of carbon fuel sources. It is the things cartoons are made of. Pappy

I, for one, am honestly looking forward to the future of electric cars, or at least upgraded versions that do not belch fumes and pollute the city environment with noise.

But in the meantime, if McDonalds goes out of business, I guess we'll just have to make our own special sauce....

McDonald's Big Mac Sauce

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French dressing
4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onion
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt

1) Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well.

2) Place sauce in a covered container and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight, so that the flavours blend. Stir the sauce a couple of times as it chills.

Makes about 3/4 cup.
