Mo. man burns books as act of protest - Yahoo! News Well now, that's an interesting way to protest. He couldn't even give books away anymore, so he decided to burn them. He's got 20,000 to go, so people in Kansas City can be kept warm for quite some time. It's a shame though, that fewer and fewer people read for enjoyment. Of course, even I read less than I used to, as I read so much more on the internet. But I still love a good book, or a graphic novel. It helps to stretch the imagination in ways that movies and TV just don't. Pity that the future generation is turning away from it.
