Happy Birthday Canada!

Um yeah, I'm just under the wire with this one. Was planning a post with a quiz and stuff, but the day passed me by.

On the upside, it was a nice day and I didn't have to go to work.  Statutory Holidays are great.  There should be one every month :)

Of course, July 1 also marks the beginning of free agency in the NHL.  Lots of money and players changing hands.  Looks like Curtis Joseph is coming back to Toronto as the backup goalie.  Maybe that hockey card I have of him in his Leafs gear will go back in value now.  Time to sell it so I can put some more gas in the truck...

Ya know, I just read something on Yahoo! about John Adams' prediction that the U.S. would celebrate its independence on July 2. Hmmm. Wonder if that's where Canada got the idea? (laugh)
