Cutting It Too Close...

Warning, the video isn’t for the faint of heart. This is a clip of the figure skating accident that involved Canadian pairs skater Jessica Dube getting hit in the face by her partner’s skate. She’s been released from the hospital and says she wants to skate again. Her partner’s not so sure though. From the article, she doesn’t remember much of it, but he does. She got really lucky too – could have been an eye. Surprised that this kind of thing doesn’t happen more often. However, if they turned figure skating into a contact sport, I might watch it…a triple lutz followed by a huge hip check!
