Trailer available to watch here or download here for the movie Ask the Dust. Looks interesting. I like the 30’s setting and the noir feel to it. Looks a little slow paced, but hopefully there’s a twist and a payoff… This is disturbing news. Mark Wahlberg is set to star in the movie Shooter, based on Stephen Hunter’s novel Point of Impact. The story is of a double crossed ace marksman who tries to find the truth after being setup. I loved the book, but I can’t see Wahlberg in the role. I don’t know if he can bring across Bob Lee Swagger’s savvy. Not to mention them renaming it Shooter doesn’t bode well either. I hope they keep the “thinking man’s hero” elements to it and not just turn it into a mindless shoot’em up… As a public service for X3 fans, I provide this link to a 6 part article from ComingSoon.Net on their visit to the X3 set and conversations with the actors and people behind the scenes. Personally, I don’t want any spoilers till I see the movie (or probably more accurately, the next trailer), so I haven’t read it. But feel free to check it out if you must.
